We are beginning to prepare for the 40th Annual ASDEG (Association of San Diego Educators of the Gifted) Conference. The conference will be held once again at the Joan Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice, located on the University of San Diego (USD) campus.  The conference will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012.

We are looking for highly qualified educators to present at the 2012 conference.  This year we are planning our sessions around the theme, "Differentiating for the 21st Century Learner". The topics that apply are listed on the first page of the Call for Presenters form. Additionally, you will be invited to participate in the balance of the conference, which would include a keynote speaker and three sessions.

Each session will be 50 minutes in length.  We will reimburse you up to $30 to defray printing expenses with an accompanying receipt.  Audiences typically run between 15 and 45, often averaging around 30, so we ask that you bring handouts for the expected crowd.  We want participants to walk away inspired and have something practical in-hand as well.  In addition to the $30, if you send back your "Call for Presenter" form by October 31, 2011, we would like you to invite a guest for free.

Some presenters have additional materials that they have created and wish to sell.  Participants are usually enthusiastic to have these resources, however, we are asking that any materials sold be handled in the vendor area. Exhibitor table space can be purchased for a nominal fee.

If you would like to present please respond no later than October 31, 2011.  Thank you for your support!

Sincerely,

Andrea Taheri
ASDEG Presenter Chair
